Open Range Cowboy Church Horse Dust-Off
Open Range Cowboy Church will hold its 2011 Spring – Horse Dust-Off on Saturday, March 26, from noon to 6 p.m.
Slick Stick Games for kids up through the age of 12 will be offered, as well as other horse games for folks of all ages. Horse games include Lead on Horse, Keyhole, Musical Stalls, Egg & Spoon and Flag Race. You must have riding experience to participate.
There are entry fees for some events, and pre-registration is requested by calling 320-629-6551. Awards for all, and prizes given for high points for each event. Otherwise, registration will take place March 26 from noon to 12:30 p.m. Registration under 18 requires adult guardian signature.
Everyone is welcome to the event, located at Rum River Equestrian Farm, 35550 Nacre Street, Princeton (11 miles west of Cambridge).

Lenten Series offered at Spring Lake Lutheran
The Wednesday Evening Lenten Services at Spring Lake Lutheran Church, rural North Branch, will include a series of study based on the Baptismal Promises; “Faith Through the Eyes of Children; Taking Root: Walking Wet.” Beginning March 16, the topics will include the Water of Promise, the Bread of Life, the Tablets of Stone, the Gospel of Truth and the Stars of Faith. The services will begin at 7 p.m. Fellowship will follow the services.
All are invited to attend the services at Spring Lake Lutheran. The Contemporary service on Sunday mornings begins at 8:30 a.m. and the Traditional at 10:45 a.m. The Education hour and fellowship is at 9:35 a.m. Spring Lake Lutheran is located four miles west of North Branch or nine miles east of Cambridge on Hwy. 95, then one block north on Erickson Road. Isanti Senior Dining
Isanti Seniors Dining at the Community Center on Wednesday, March 23, will celebrate Western Day.
Wearing Western attire, they will enjoy the Country Music of Doyle Peck at 11 a.m. followed by a noon meal consisting of Bar-B-Que Chicken, Bunk House Beans, Ranch Style Creamy Coleslaw, Buttermilk Biscuit and a Cowboy Cookie, milk and coffee.
Suggested contribution for persons 60 and older and volunteers is $3.50 to $7. Guests under 60 pay $7. Call 763-444-6320 to make your reservation or sign up at the site.
Western Day at SACS
Wednesday, March 23, will be Western Day at SAC’s on Third in Cambridge.
The program will be from 11:15 to 11:45 a.m. with lunch served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Guest performers will be The Grells. The menu for the day will be BBQ chicken, bunk house beans, ranch style coleslaw, buttermilk biscuit, cowboy cookie, milk, and coffee.
