Baked Potato Dinner Fundraiser
Friday, Feb. 25: A Baked Potato Dinner with all the fixings will be held at the Cambridge Helios Lodge, 2nd Ave. & Cypress, from 5-8 p.m. Tickets are $6 per person in advance ($8 at the door) and children under 12 are $4. The dinner is a fundraiser to benefit Minnesota Masonic Charities, which contributes to all the Lodges in Minnesota, Scholarships, Cancer, Matching Funds, Harbor Room, Relay for Life, National Night Out, Special Sportsman Shooting Sports and more. The event is co-sponsored by local Knights of Columbus Harbor Room.
Friday, Feb. 25: A Spaghetti Dinner will be held at Long Lake Lutheran Church, Hwy. 47 and 277th Avenue, Isanti, from 4-7:30 p.m. Adults: $5; Ages 6-12: $3; under 6, free.
Legion broasted chicken dinner
Friday, Feb. 25: The American Legion Howard McCarty Post 290 will be serving a broasted chicken dinner with all the fixing from 5 p.m. until gone. The cost of the dinner is $6 and will be served at the upper level of the American Legion in Cambridge. The public is invited to enjoy a good meal.
Braham Dollars for Scholars Breakfast
Saturday, Feb. 26: Braham Area Dollars for Scholars will host a Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast at the Cambridge Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill from 8-10 a.m. Tickets: $5/person available from Dollars for Scholars members and at selected home games.
Food Distribution in Ogilvie
Saturday, Feb. 26: Ruby’s Pantry with New Hope Christian Reformed Church Food Distribution in Ogilvie, 205 South Hill Avenue. Door opens at 7 a.m. Distribution starts 9 a.m. and continues until food is gone. Cost is $15 per order. Call 763-772-7278 for info.
Meatball Dinner for Braham Community Center
Wednesday, March 2: The Braham Area Community Center Task Force will host a homemade dinner from 5-7 p.m. in the Braham High School commons area. Meatballs w/gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, cole slaw, buns and ice cream served. Suggested donation: $8 (Children 6-Under $4). Proceeds benefit the community center project.
Reach Out and Read Tea
Wednesday, March 2: Everyone is invited to the second annual Reach Out and Read Complimentary Tea at 2 p.m. at Riverwood Village (909 S. Dellwood, Cambridge). Reach Out and Read at the Cambridge Medical Center has provided 24,000 books to children at their well care doctor visits since 2005. It’s Dr. Seuss’ Birthday so this promises to be a fun-filled event with wonderful raffle prizes.
Free Community Dinner, Bread Distribution
Thursday, March 3: A free community dinner and bread distribution will be held the first Thursday of each month. It’s hosted by Cambridge UPC Church, located at 210 10th Ave SW, Cambridge, (renting the Seventh Day Adventist Church), and will be held from 5:30 -7 p.m. Questions, call Pastor David L. Veterans Legislative Forum
Monday, March 7: Veterans and military members are invited to the 3rd annual forum held at 6 p.m. at the Cambridge American Legion Post 290, centering on proposed state and federal benefits. Featured guests are U.S. Representative Chip Cravaack, State Rep. Kurt Daudt, State Rep. Roger Crawford and State Senator Sean Nienow.
