CCS winding down season

Final hoops regular-season game at home Feb. 24

Both Cambridge Christian hoops squads are in good shape heading down the home stretch of the regular season. The Warriors will host a double-header with Good Shepherd Feb. 24 in a last preparation for the March 3-5 Christian Athletic League tourney.

The CCS girls won their third straight game 53-25 over Hope Christian Feb. 18. Ellie Werlein scored 25 and Shelby Doble 11 for the Warriors. Back on Feb. 15, the girls beat Faith Foreston 70-59 behind leading scorers Werlein (29) Doble (12) and Seble Doble (12).

The Warrior boys are on a six-win string after defeating Hope Christian 74-31 Feb. 18. On Feb. 15, Peter Maring scored 20, Josiah Scheumann 17 and Jake Bergman 10 in a 76-60 win over Faith Foreston.
