Is your prom or other formal dress from last year still hanging in your closet? Would you like to buy a new dress for this year’s prom? Solve both of these problems by attending the Prom Dress Sale. This exciting event will be held at the Cambridge-Isanti High School on Monday, March 14, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Cynthia’s Bridal Emporium of Rush City and the Charisma Boutique of Isanti will have a large selection of new, beautiful, reasonably priced prom dresses and accessories for sale. If you have not seen their dresses before, you have to check them out—they are gorgeous. Representatives from The Red Thread will also be on hand to advise you on your alteration needs.

Another highlight of this event will be the Formal Dress Re-Sale where you can purchase a gently worn dress at a fraction of the retail price. A large variety of dresses, styles and sizes will be offered for sale at 1/4 to 1/2 their original retail cost.

Dress consignment will be accepted from 2 to 4 p.m. on the day of the sale. You will be asked to fill out a consignment form, designate the asking price of your dress (we suggest 1/4 to 1/2 the original retail price,) pay the $5 consignment fee and we will do the advertising and selling for you. Your dress will be viewed by a significant number of people and you will receive 100 percent of the selling price.

To ensure the sale of your dress we recommend that dresses are not priced higher than $75. Make sure your dress is cleaned, pressed, and hung properly on a sturdy hanger. It is also important to replace or repair any missing buttons, snaps, zippers, etc. Consignment dresses should be of currant style and no more than three years old.
