Cancer benefit a success

Dear Editor:
The family of Alvin Broll, along with River City Recovery Ministries,
aka The Fish House, are pleased to announce that the Cancer Benefit held
on Feb. 5 was a success.

Through the Chili Feed, Silent Auction, Bake Sale, Pampered Chef Fundraiser, and Shave-A-Thon, over $4,200 was raised for Alvin’s medical expenses. The funds raised will not only help with unpaid medical needs, but will also ease Broll’s stress as he continues his fight against throat cancer.

The Fish House, along with Alvin and his family, would like to thank all the volunteers, businesses, personal donors and benefit attendees for helping to make this event the success that it was. They would also like to thank the 17 people who shaved their heads to support Broll, and congratulate Kari Pangerl of Cambridge, Minn. for winning the Waldheim Resort Getaway Package.
