Jacket boys battle with Buffalo

Boys Basketball: Braham tops 100 points in two GRC wins

Cambridge-Isanti hosted Buffalo, the Mississippi 8 boys basketball leaders, Feb. 8. Playing their best game in a while, the Bluejackets battled before falling to the Bison 43-40.

Preston Bosacker and Cory Prybilla work an interior trap against Andover Feb. 5.

Ted Lutterman scored 18 and Tom Selz 11 for C-I Tuesday evening, with Preston Bosacker adding 7 points. Josh High led the Bison with 19 points.

The result extended the Jackets’ loss streak to five games which included a 48-38 win by Andover at CIHS on Saturday. Cambridge-Isanti was down 42-23 before a string of steals began a rally. The Jackets were within 42-34 when Lutterman found Mike Henderscheid for an inside bucket, but the Huskies sunk enough free throws to keep the Jackets at bay.

Lutterman hit 4 three-pointers and again led the Jackets with 18 points. Bosacker scored 9 and Henderscheid 6 against the Section 7AAAA partners.
