Local man gets 15 years probation in June 2009 sexual assault case

A Cambridge man, charged in June 2009 with two counts of criminal
sexual conduct, has been placed on 15 years probation and sentenced to
the three days already served.

A Cambridge man, charged in June 2009 with two counts of criminal sexual conduct, has been placed on 15 years probation and sentenced to the three days already served.

Bruce Alan Johnson, 39, pleaded guilty Dec. 2 before Judge James Dehn to felony 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct and has been free on his personal recognizance pending the Jan. 20 sentencing.

A charge of felony 1st degree criminal sexual conduct was dismissed at sentencing.

Johnson is to register as a predatory offender, complete outpatient sex offender treatment, is to have no contact with the victim and is barred from attendance at the Cambridge Softball Complex on Wednesday nights or on other days if games have been rescheduled.
