EverBlest Youth Choir announces summer tour

EverBlest will be performing on a tour through New England this summer.

EverBlest will be performing on a tour through New England this summer.

Destinations will include Mayville, N.Y., Tunkhannock, Pa., Kennebunk, Maine, Burlington, Vt., Niantic, Colo., Ocean City, N.J., and Rehoboth, Del.

EverBlest, which is an inter-denominational youth ministry and choir, is an outreach of Cambridge Lutheran Church. It has been a vital part of the youth culture in Cambridge for 24 years, welcoming any high school youth who wish to participate in the mission of sharing faith and glorifying Jesus Christ through the gift of music.

The summer mission tour is an integral part of the identity of EverBlest. This year’s tour, which is scheduled for June 15-29, will consist of 13 concerts in 14 days in 10 states. In previous years, EverBlest has travelled to Mexico, Virginia Beach, and most recently, Canada.

“The members of EverBlest are ecstatic about our destinations this year,” said Director Dr. Andrew Barrett. “They are looking forward to seeing historic New England, performing and sharing faith with congregations whose history predates the American Revolution. They are also pretty excited about spending a couple of days on New Jersey and Delaware beaches.”

EverBlest meets Wednesdays from 7:30 to 9 p.m., and Sundays, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Cambridge Lutheran Church, 621 Old North Main Street, Cambridge, and welcomes high school age young adults who are interested in being a part of this exciting program.
