No injuries or leaks were reported when a semitruck propane tanker rolled over early Monday morning, Jan. 17 on Co. Rd. 10, east of Blackhawk Rd., in Fish Lake Township.

Authorities received the call at 2:54 a.m., discovering the truck driver, Phil Henry Alderink, 57, of Princeton, was uninjured in the rollover. Also of concern was the propane tanker’s carrying vessel, which was not damaged.

However, due to the size of the tanker truck, specialty tow equipment was needed to salvage the vehicle. This forced officers to use their squad cars to temporarily close that section of roadway until all was cleared at 10:09 a.m., said the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities offered no explanation on how the accident occurred or what may have contributed to the rollover.
Also responding were the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, North Branch Fire and Allina Ambulance.

The owner of the semitruck and propane tanker is M I K Co-Op Trucking Association, out of Ogilvie.
