SACs begins the New Year with many fun happenings

Happy New Year to all of you out there in senior land. At SACS, we began
with a great party on New Years Day. We started out with an exceptional
potluck brought in by the party go-ers. The game was turned on the big
screen TV for those who wished to view it, “500” cards was played by
some, and others got into a rowdy game of ZONK.

Happy New Year to all of you out there in senior land. At SACS, we began with a great party on New Years Day. We started out with an exceptional potluck brought in by the party go-ers. The game was turned on the big screen TV for those who wished to view it, “500” cards was played by some, and others got into a rowdy game of ZONK. If you are wondering what ZONK is, on the first Wednesday of every month as soon as we are done eating the usual delicious lunch (including pie), we will show you how it is done SACS style. So, lunch is served between 11:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m., after which the games will begin. Mexican Dominoes are also played. At 2 p.m., the Alzheimer’s Support group will begin. Anyone who is living with and caring for someone with Alzheimer’s or Dementia issues with a loved one is welcome to join us.

“500” cards and other games are also played at SACS on Thursdays after lunch. All are welcome to attend.

Jennifer Anderson, from Legal Services, will again be here to help you with legal issues. No need for an appointment. She will be here between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

Don’t forget to come for breakfast on Fridays from 8 to 9 a.m. The volunteers cook and serve a great breakfast at terrific prices. No reservations are required. Full-menu served.

And, last but not least we will be hosting the History Rendezvous Round-Table at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26. Come and share the history of the county that you live in. I think you will be delighted and maybe even surprised at what you may learn. Questions, call 763-689-1039.
