Suicide Survivors Group
First and Third Thursdays: The Suicide Survivors Group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brunswick. The group is meant for those who have had a loved one die as a result of suicide and may be seeking a confidential group to talk with and  share support for one another’s grief. Christian Motorcyclists Association
Ongoing, Fridays: The Christian Motorcyclists Association of Cambridge, Minn., Chapter 523, Eagles Wings, ride every Friday night year-round (they use autos in winter and inclement weather). They meet at the Holiday Station, Hwy. 65 and Old Main at 6:45 p.m. and leave at 7 p.m. on a short ride and supper or snack. Chapter meetings are the third Monday of each month at the Fish House at 7 p.m. Contact Paul Blom, president, at 763-444-7974 for details. Hope for Life, Recovery Groups
Ongoing, Tuesdays & Saturdays: Open Coed 12 Step groups for anyone recovering or in an addiction, codependency, or life controlling issue. All are welcome. They have two groups and they meet at First Baptist Church, 307 So. Main Street in Cambridge every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. and every Saturday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. They use the Recovery Devotional and Life Recovery Bibles. Tuesday, Jan. 25: Renowned Arctic explorer Will Steger is the guest speaker at the Cambridge Campus of Anoka-Ramsey Community College’s annual Science Night at 7 p.m. His recent expeditions have taken his teams to Ellsemere Island and Baffin Island in Canada’s High Arctic.

Candlelight Ski at Cambridge Campus
Saturday, Feb. 5: Anoka-Ramsey Community College is hosting its annual Candlelight Ski from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Cambridge Campus. Everyone is invited to this free event to join college faculty, staff and students for an evening of skiing or hiking along two miles of candlelit trails in the Spirit River Nature Area. Festivities include hot chocolate, door prizes and music by blue grass band Mystery Mountain Boys.

Firefighter Spaghetti Feed
Saturday, Feb. 5: Join the Cambridge Firefighters Relief Association for a gun raffle and spaghetti feed at the Armed Forces Reserve Center at 5 p.m.  A variety of firearms and other gifts will be up for raffle and it only takes a $5 donation to enter the drawing. Tickets are available from any Cambridge firefighter or participating business or by calling 763-286-8633.

Moonlight ski in Braham
Friday, Feb. 18: There will be a bonfire and moonlight skiing at Pleasantview Park just west of the elementary school in Braham. Braham Park Board and Healthy Community Partners are co-sponsoring the event from 6 to 9 p.m. The trails will be groomed and hot dogs, hot cider, and s’mores will be served. Bring your own roasting sticks.
