A 22-year-old Isanti County man has been sentenced to 153 months in prison on a 2008 criminal sexual conduct charge involving a teen female.

Brett Thomas Green, (pictured) who has lived in both Braham and Isanti, was originally charged with two counts of 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with the victim between the ages of 13 and 15 and he was 24 months older; and two counts of 4th degree criminal sexual conduct with victim 13-15 years old and he was 48 months older, all felonies.

One of the 4th degree criminal sexual conduct charges was dismissed by Judge P. Hunter Anderson in August 2010.

On Jan. 13, Judge Anderson sentenced Green to 153 months on the first 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct charge but, although finding Green guilty on the two remaining charges, did not pronounce additional sentences.

Green will serve his sentence at the Minnesota Correctional Facility at St. Cloud with credit for time served in jail since Aug. 7, 2008.

The 2008 charge triggered a probation violation in connection with a 2007 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct charge for which he had received a 36 month stayed sentence.

On the probation violation Judge Anderson then committed Green to 36 months in prison which will be followed by conditional release.

The victim in that case was also 13-15 years old.
