Suicide Survivors Group

First and Third Thursdays: The Suicide Survivors Group meets the 1st and 3rd Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Brunswick. The group is meant for those who have had a loved one die as a result of suicide and may be seeking a confidential group to talk with and  share support for one another’s grief. Christian Motorcyclists Association

Ongoing, Fridays: The Christian Motorcyclists Association of Cambridge, Minn., Chapter 523, Eagles Wings, ride every Friday night year-round (they use autos in winter and inclement weather). They meet at the Holiday Station, Hwy. 65 and Old Main at 6:45 p.m. and leave at 7 p.m. on a short ride and supper or snack. Chapter meetings are the third Monday of each month at the Fish House at 7 p.m. Contact Paul Blom, president, at 763-444-7974 for details. Hope for Life, Recovery Groups

Ongoing, Tuesdays & Saturdays: Open Coed 12 Step groups for anyone recovering or in an addiction, codependency, or life controlling issue. All are welcome. They have two groups and they meet at First Baptist Church, 307 So. Main Street in Cambridge every Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. and every Saturday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. They use the Recovery Devotional and Life Recovery Bibles. Ruby’s Pantry

Moonlight ski in Braham

Jan. 14 & Feb. 18: There will be a bonfire and moonlight skiing at Pleasantview Park just west of the elementary school in Braham. Braham Park Board and Healthy Community Partners are co-sponsoring two events on Jan. 14 and Feb. 18 from 6 to 9 p.m. The trails will be groomed and hot dogs, hot cider, and s’mores will be served. Bring your own roasting sticks.

Shalom Shop annual meeting

Saturday, Jan. 15: The Shalom Shop will hold its Annual Meeting at 3:30 p.m. at Cambridge Lutheran Church. Come have coffee and treats and learn about their successful year.

K.C.’s free throw contest

Jan. 14, 15, 18 & 30:

All boys and girls, ages 10-14, are invited to compete in the annual Knights of Columbus free throw contest. Sights are at North Branch North Middle School, Friday, Jan. 14, at 5:30 p.m.; Braham High School, Saturday, Jan. 15, at 10 a.m.; Isanti Middle School Gym, Thursday, Jan. 18, 3-4 p.m.; and Cambridge-Isanti High School, Sunday, Jan. 30, 3 p.m.

Craft class seeks new members
Tuesday, Jan. 18: A craft class for people with disabilities is looking for new members. The class will meet Tuesday evenings, once or twice per month. Classes will be held at Sacs on Third in Cambridge at 5 p.m. Share supper, crafts, games and holiday parties. New membership night Jan. 18, at 5 p.m. Call Sue at 763-689-5351 for more information.

Surplus Food Distribution

Tuesday, Jan. 18: The Cambridge Surplus Food Distribution aims to end
hunger in our community, by distributing surplus food to individuals and
families who are in crisis or who’s income does not exceed federal
poverty guidelines. The next distribution will be held at the Isanti
County Fairgrounds in Cambridge from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Bring an ID with
your current address on it. If you do not have an ID with your current
address, bring two pieces of mail addressed to you with your current
address. Volunteers needed between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. For more

Senior Federation meeting

Wednesday, Jan. 19: The Isanti County Senior Federation, a branch of the 7-County Senior Federation, will meet at 1 p.m. at SAC’s on Third in Cambridge.

Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting

Wednesday, Jan. 19: Parkinson’s Support Group will hold their next regular meeting from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at GracePointe Crossing, 1545 River Hills Parkway, Cambridge. All are welcome to attend.
