Aleeza J. Saande, 19, of Hastings died accidentally due to an automobile accident on Sunday, January 9, 2011.
Aleeza was born Dec. 2, 1991 in Minneapolis to Daniel and MaryLynn
(Langlais) Saande. She was full of joy and compassion and had an
infectious enthusiasm for life. She embraced family and friends as a
center of her purpose in life. Aleeza loved family trips to the
mountains and lakes. She loved soccer, water sports, snow sports and 4
Aleeza’s love for The Lord and her passion for sharing that love were a hallmark of her life. With this passion, she actively served in Youth in Government, Youth Teaching Youth, Young Life and Campus Crusade for Christ. Aleeza had hoped to become a teacher and was an elementary major at Winona State University. Her passion for children and for those less fortunate is an unwritten story.
Aleeza is survived by her parents Dan and MaryLynn Saande of Hastings; sister Cassondra of Hastings; grandparents, Richard and Jan Langlais of Hastings, and Elmer and Henrietta Anderson of Isanti; also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
The Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Chris Kneen, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, at the United Methodist Church, 615 W. Fifteenth St., Hastings. The visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14, at the church, and also one hour prior to the Saturday service. Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery. The pallbearers will be Terry Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Tim Anderson, Joel Anderson, Elmer Anderson, Matthew Rahimi, Ab Rahimi and Dave Steveken.
