‘Remembering History Series’ begins Jan. 24 in Cambridge
C-I Community Ed hosts informational sessions from WWII and Afghanistan/Iran veterans
Cambridge-Isanti Community Education is pleased to present the new “Remembering History Series” with two presentations this winter.
The first will be by Rollie Reasoner, Cambridge who will share his experience in the South Pacific during the later stages of World War II. He will give his presentation twice on Monday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. at the Cambridge-Isanti District #911 Education Center Community Room at 625 Main St. N. in Cambridge.
Rollie will share how he was trained at Edison High School and completed basic training at Camp Walters in Texas. He’ll tell about his battle experience in the infantry on Cebu Island in the Philippines and his involvement in the occupation of Japan after V-J Day.
• The second presentation in the series will be on “Our Experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq” by Mike Galligan and Steve Grandgenett on Monday, March 28. These will be a great opportunities to hear veterans tell their stories of their experiences and to get a better understanding of other cultures.
