Glenn Stewart, 83, of Isanti died January 8, 2011 at his home.
Glenn Edward Stewart was born Sept. 12, 1927 in Britton, S.D. to Myrven
and Jettie Stewart. When he was 14 years of age his family moved to Deer
Creek, Minn. where he finished school and graduated from Deer Creek
High School. On June 30, 1950 he married Audrey George at the Park
Avenue Methodist Church in Minneapolis and they made their first home in
Fridley. They later moved to Brooklyn Park and then to Coon Rapids
where they lived for nine years.
In 1974 they moved to Isanti. Glenn was employed as a truck driver for Ryerson Steel in Minneapolis. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Minneapolis. Glenn enjoyed the family activities, especially camping, traveling and sightseeing in their motor home with his kids.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Audrey of Isanti; 5 children, Jeffery Stewart of Isanti, Lindy (Gary) Dupuis of Zimmerman, Andy (Tatyana) Stewart of Isanti, Lisa (Tony) Swanson of Isanti, Scott (Marylouise) Stewart of Inver Grove Heights; 4 grandchildren, Joseph, Samantha, Mackenzie, Anna; 1 brother, Jack (Helen) Stewart of Arizona; and by extended family, Seiberts, Lavells and by many other relatives and friends.
Memorial services were held Jan. 11 at the Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel with Rev. Jim Crecelius officiating. Interment will be in Strike Cemetery in rural Isanti in May.
