Obituary Posted Online: 11/12/02 James LindquistJames Douglas Lindquist, 44, of Cambridge, formerly of Princeton, died unexpectedly November 7, 2002, at his home. A memorial service was held Nov. 11 from Carlson-Labatte Funeral Home with Rev. Harvey Johnson officiating. Donn Fredlund, accompanied by Mary Kay O'Neill, sang "What A Friend We Have in Jesus" and "In The Garden." Interment was in Oak Knoll Cemetery in Princeton. He was born December 9, 1957 in Princeton, MN to Merlyn and Irene (Anderson) Lindquist. He was baptized April 7, 1960. He grew up in Princeton where he attended school and graduated from Princeton High School in May 1976. After graduating, he worked with his father repairing automobiles. Shortly thereafter, he acquired his insurance license and recently celebrated his 20th year with Farmer's Insurance. He was an excellent cook. He had many many friends and was the one you could always depend on. He faithfully checked on his parents. He always remembered his family on birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays. Jim was passionate about playing checkers and was "always five moves ahead." He had been battling with cancer for the last three years and was still hanging on. His life was cut short. God must have had bigger plans. He will be greatly missed; his memory will always live on all around us. He was preceded in death by his brother, Allan in 1968.
