Donald Anderson

Donald John Anderson, 56, of Cambridge, died November 1, 2002, at his home.

Funeral services were held Nov. 4 at Strike Funeral Home-Isanti Chapel, with Rev. Bill Berg officiating. Howard Doble, accompanied by Mary Kay O'Neill, sang "Amazing Grace" and "On Eagles Wings."

He was born January 3, 1946, at Minneapolis to Evelyn and Donald L. Anderson. He was raised and attended school in the Cambridge-Isanti area and graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School, Class of 1964. Don served in the Army from 1964-1967. On October 17, 1970, he married Lynda Erickson. They have made their home in the Cambridge-Isanti area since that time. During his working years, he was employed by the Onan Corporation in Minneapolis. Don enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, trap shooting, training dogs, and spear-fishing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald L. in 1983; niece, Baby Eckert; brothers-in-law, David Castleman and George Yacevich.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda of Cambridge; daughters, Roxi Anderson (Richard Thedens) and Lisa (Brandt) Lindgren of Isanti; granddaughter, Maria Mae Willson of Cambridge; mother, Evelyn V. Anderson of McGregor; sisters, Darlene Castleman of McGregor, Deborah (Adrian) Eckert of Mendota Heights; father- and mother-in-law, John and Gertrude Erickson of Cambridge; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jackie (Paul) Ostrom of Cambridge, Bucky (Faye) Erickson of Dalbo, JoAnn and daughter, Nicole Peterson of Cambridge, Steven (Lorna) Erickson of Andover, Craig (Carla) Erickson of Isanti, RoxAnn (Terry) Erickson of Cambridge, Brian (Lisa) Erickson of Isanti, Douglas (Debra) Erickson of Isanti, Chris (David) O'Loughlin of Champlin; special friends, Ron and Sheila Dahlheimer of Cambridge, Tom and Diane Bohlman of Blaine, and Ted and Kay Sheppard of Ashby, Julie Collins of Cambridge.
