Clifford Theline

Clifford Harry Theline, Sr., 89, of Willmar, formerly of Isanti, died November 10, 2002 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar.

Funeral services were held Nov. 15 at South Isanti Baptist Church with Rev. George Brecheisen, Rev. Ron Snyder, and Rev. Clint Theline officiating. Pam Theline was the soloist and Lori Roth-Yousey served as pianist. Pallbearers were Carey Carlson, Dennis Holmgren, Cody, Pat and Tim Hughes, Ray Joslin and Shawn Kringshauser. Interment was in Isanti Union Cemetery.

He was born February 18, 1913, on the family farm in rural Isanti. It would be on that farm that he was raised and would live for 65 years. On June 10, 1934, he married Elsa Anderson and they made their home on the family farm. Clifford was employed as a mechanic and he also farmed his whole life. He was a member of South Isanti Baptist Church. His wife, Elsa, died in September 1974. On June 23, 1975, he married Lauretta Anderson. They made their home on the farm for two and a half years and they then moved to Willmar where they have since made their home. Clifford's church membership was now at First Baptist Church of Willmar. His main hobby and interest was working with his horses.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsa; daughter, Janice Carlson; grandson, Kevin Theline; brother, Paul Theline; sister, Ruby Oliver.

He is survived by his wife, Lauretta Theline of Willmar; daughters, Joyce (Carl) Lantz of Braham, Jordice (Rex) Chambers of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sons, Cliff (Kathy) Theline of Pine City, Clint (Shirley) Theline of Kalispell, Montana; son-in-law, Dean Carlson of Cambridge; step-daughters, Beverly Holmgren of Willmar, Janice (Joseph) Carroll of Florida; step-sons, Lawrence Anderson of Chaska, Nathain (Doreen) Anderson of Willmar, Gaylin (Vicki) Anderson of Willmar; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Strike Funeral Home-Isanti Chapel.
