First Isanti County results in for 2002 ElectionPosted Online: 11/6/02 With the vote tabulating going much slower this year, results for Isanti County area races have trickled in. Here is what was available as of 1 a.m., Nov. 6. District 2 Commissioner Race: Former Isanti Co. Sheriff Larry Southerland defeated John Wood 1716-1454. Braham City Council: Lowell Jaques (247 votes) and incumbent Vicky Ethen (243) were elected to the two seats. Patricia Carlson (175) and Ray Purdy (104) were also running for Council. Isanti City Council: Incumbent Susan Larson (525 votes) and Jim Kennedy (432) were elected to the two four-year seats, with incumbent Louise Fuhol (366) also running. Ralph Johnson, running unopposed, garnered 711 votes for the open two-year seat. The District 911 excess levy referendum, with two optional referendum questions, was not looking like it will pass, as the "Yes" votes were heavily trailing the "No" votes with over half the townships checking in. The entire Isanti. Co. election results will be posted on this site as soon as the numbers reach the News office. ©Isanti County News |
