Jobs and training positions available for senior citizens

Experience Works, the nation's largest provider of employment and training, is accepting applications from persons 55 and older for a variety of training and job opportunities in East Central Minnesota.

Experience Works is a non-profit organization that assists mature workers in finding employment and obtaining no-cost or low-cost skills training. Experience Works job counselors will help interested persons identify their interests, abilities and skills, and then match them up with available training or jobs in their community.

Experience Works offers a variety of services including paid on-the-job training; paid tuition, books and classroom time while in training; resume preparation; paid time while in "job-search skills" training; and job referrals. Participants have taken computer classes, certified nurses assistant, boiler license, GED classes, etc. Participants also learn valuable employment skills at sponsorING "host" agencies.

Services are provided at no cost to qualifying individuals. No applicants will be denied consideration because of physical or mental limitations. Interested persons may call Experience Works (toll free) at 1-800-450-5627. An Experience Works representative will then arrange an interview at a convenient location to discuss the applicant's training and job needs.
