Farm bill explained Nov. 8Posted Online: 11/5/02 All persons interested in learning more about the new farm bill as it relates to the crop commodity program are invited to attend a free workshop scheduled for Friday Nov. 8 at Cambridge American Legion. University of Minnesota of Extension Regional Educators and local FSA director will be available to explain the new aspects of this new farm bill. This particular program targets Ag professionals and those who work with farmers but all farmers are also welcome. Once, again all persons are welcome. There is no fee to attend and no pre-registration is required. A one on one computer based examination of the farm bill, and how it impacts on your particular farm is scheduled for November 20, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the East Central Eclectic facility in Braham. This is intended for crop farmers only who wish to evaluate financial impacts and scenarios of the farm bill for their individual farm. Work one on one with a regional extension educator and/or an adult farm management instructor. This analysis is one on one and is done in confidentiality.
