Posted Online: 11/5/02

Captive Free, a talented team of young adults offering a Christian, youth-oriented musical ministry in the North Central United States, will be at Long Lake Lutheran Church, 27765 Hwy. 47 N.W. in rural Isanti at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14 for a family night concert.

The spirited Captive Free band members commit to a year-long, full-time tour performing in hundreds of churches, schools, at youth events, coffee houses, nursing homes, camps and prison.

Incorporating contemporary music, drama, puppets, personal sharing, and group building, team members reach out to people of all ages. The program theme this year, Head to the Heart, is designed to offer something for everyone.

Youth ministry specialists since 1965, Minneapolis-based Youth Encounter sponsors eight regional bands that travel in various regions of the U.S. and two to five international teams traveling the U.S. and overseas each year.

The team visiting Long Lake Lutheran is comprised of Drew Bartell, Adam Constenbader, Sarah Dutton, Rebecca Leaf, Nicole Lewis, Melissa Nelson and Patrick Torbit.

Everyone is welcome. A free will offering will be taken.
