Auto Glass Specialists open service station in Cambridge

Area residents can now find "the guys in the little red trucks," in Cambridge.

Auto Glass Specialists, opened a service center in late September, at 538 S. Main St. The Auto Glass center in Cambridge joins 14 other Auto Glass centers in Minnesota.

Auto Glass specializes in automotive glass repair and replacement services.

Service Center Manager Ricky Johnson said due to the growth of Cambridge and surrounding areas, a store was needed in the area.

"We're hoping to serve people better who live up here in the area," Johnson said. "We're hoping to establish more of a local presence."

Auto Glass has been in business over 40 years. Its first store opened in March 1961, in Madison, WI.

Johnson highlighted one of the Auto Glass store achievements, becoming ISO-9001 certified.

In May of 1998, Auto Glass became the first auto glass repair and replacement company in North America to receive ISO-9001 certification.

ISO-9001 is an internationally quality system that establishes operational standards. It's the standard set for organizations with business processes ranging from design and development to production, installation and servicing.

Johnson said customers can basically expect "same-day or next-day service."
